Transport Batches

Transport Batches allows encoders to generate and track test batches from off-site locations.

Main laboratory branches can track the status of all the specimens collected by the different laboratory branches.

Transport Batch Name

Encode a unique identifier for the transport batch that would come from one of the laboratory’s clients.

Requesting Client

Choose from the drop-down list of the laboratory’s clients from which the transport batch will be coming from.

Click “Create” to be directed to the page where the needed information for the transport batch is input.

General Information

Update

shows the transport batch information including name, transport batch code and mode of transport.

Courier Information

shows the courier information including name and phone number, file, picture or signature of the courier can also be uploaded.

Audit Logs

shows where the history of changes and updates made to the transport batch are recorded.

Actions

Dispatch

Dispatch off-site users to inform the lab that a test batch has left the site and is on its way to the laboratory.

Receive

Receive this is for med tech in the main sites confirming that the test batch has safely arrived.

Reject

Reject is used if the transport batches have been damaged, contaminated or any other reasons for the batch to be invalid. Doing this will reject the batch and automatically informed the patients that they need to take another test.

Revert

Reverting a transport batch will update all of the patient service statuses to transport batched. Use this feature if the transport batch has an issue with the dispatch or receiving.
