Laboratory Batches

Laboratory Batches is where laboratory users can manage RT PCR tests, from adding specimens, plating and reviewing machine results.

Create Laboratory Batch

This is where laboratory users create laboratory batches. The “Name” will be the name assigned for the batch.

Laboratory Service

This is where users state what the laboratory service will be, this is mostly used for RT PCR tests.

When choosing the services, the user will have to include what machine and test kit is used.

Clicking “Create” will log the new batch into the table below.

The bottom right will have a notification stating if the batch creation was a success or failure.

The General Information of the Laboratory Batchesinclude:

  • Name

  • Machine

  • Test Kit

  • Reagent Lot Number

  • Reagent Expiry Date

Signatory

The signatory of the selected Medical Technologist/s for the specific laboratory batch.

Laboratory Batch Status

Laboratory Batch Status shows the current status of the laboratory batches. These steps can be customized based on the user’s preference.

Send to CDRS

Clicking “Send to CDRS” will manually send the results to CDRS.

Note: When submitting the final review, results are automatically sent to CDRS.

Rerun

Allows users to rerun the laboratory batch.

Add

Allows users to add specimens.

Users can add specimens by:

  • Adding manually via the table below.

  • Connecting to a barcode scanner and scanning the specimens.

  • Typing the prefix and the quantity of specimen (must be in sequential order).

Specimens

Specimens show the list of specimens in the laboratory batches. It also contains the following information:

Date/Time Collected Date/Time Received Patient Birthdate Sex Age Well Barcode CDRS Send Status

Address

Address information for each patient in the laboratory batches.

Plate

Plate shows users the virtual plating for the specimen. Specimens can be rearranged with a simple drag-n-drop. Controlled specimens are also added here.

Documents and Files

Documents and Files lets users print:

  • Pre-PCR machine results

  • Laboratory Worksheet with Barcodes

  • Landscape Laboratory Worksheet with Barcodes.

Linelist

Viewing the Linelist allows users to view the patient’s info and test results. And the Medtech and Pathologist in charge of the batch.

Information included in the linelist are:

  • Swab Date

  • Barcode

  • Name

  • Province/ Region

  • Barangay/ City

  • Birthday/ Age

  • Sex

  • Requesting Entity

  • Specimen

  • PCR Results

Send Documents

Send Documents button bulk sends the results of the patients in that laboratory batch.

Machine Results

Machine results will process the file from the PCR Machine, simply drag and drop the file. This also shows the Doctor in charge and the machine used.

Logs

Logs record the actions made to a laboratory batch, these include:

  • Created

  • Updated

  • Laboratory Batch

  • Laboratory Specimen Created

  • Laboratory Specimen Moved

  • Laboratory Machine Result Created

  • Laboratory Machine Results

  • Laboratory Machine Result Updated

  • Review Results Requested

  • Review Email Send Attempt

  • Final Results Requested

  • Final Results Submitted

  • Document Send Patient Success

  • Document Send Patient Fail

  • Document Download Success

Danger

The Danger section is where the specific laboratory batch can be deleted.
